Sunday, July 26, 2009

City of Melbourne sign. I like the design on right. Some newness to it.

'zikmu' speakers by philippe starck. Might be nice design but usually his quality does not transcended all the way to tight production unit thus cheap.

Tron Lightcycle bike. Much slicker and how the designer implemented hub-less front handle is really nice.

Amazing footage of Marcus Gronholm's Ford Fiesta at Pikes Peak.
Complete with BOV noise and sublime pedal action.

Wow, crazy stunt. I guess if he weld two skate to each other it won't qualified as skate? Hairy....

Dirk auer recently established a new world record when he raced down a 860-meter wood roller coaster at the trips drill theme park, stuttgart in under a minute. he achieved an average speed of 90 kilometers per hour on his custom-built skates.

The 36-year-old german darevdevil admitted he'd placed his life at risk by performing the stunt 'this was a very dangerous stunt because there were so many factors to consider - if the skates were to catch a stray nail then I could have fallen and I would almost certainly have died.'

mid 60's Porsche factory. This was how 911 and 912 were made. Nice.

Heard it was good so went there and friend ordered magarita and some corn rucolla pizza. It was nice thin but somehow not chewy and tomato base was not flavorful.

Bendable Furniture design concept. Nice one. Gave me some hope.

cute design detail car

Saturday, July 11, 2009

Check this color out and detail.. A bit old but new. Love it.

good ol days. Cars like this hooked me into doing drawing more and more of cars. Super cool.

The Element - Sir Ken Robinson's new book on Finding your Passion. I read after seeing RISD graduation speech by him and Maeda praise him highly but book was basically what he said at speech. Good stuff but no need to read in book.

Porsche Abarth Carrera. Cool and cute looking car.

Usually I am not too keen on beach cruiser but this one is exception.

Wednesday, July 08, 2009

Porsche Panamera Car Key design. Cool they did it like this but I think it is a too much mimicking the shape of the car.

Boy, why didn't I think of this design!

Bertone like this kind of angular form and I am sucker for it. But somehow this design has bad detail overall. Angular theme just does not come together in angle views...

New Porsche 4 door rear wing expansion. Cool engineering.

Marc Newson designed Ajinomoto. Cool. I got to get one.

I have seen this dude may be 8 years ago or so at Milano Salone but now coming back? it just has a cool detail corner design in plywood.

From web site promoting it:
Designer Ubald Klug's deceptively simple-looking Shell cupboard has a beautiful, materials-capabilities-pushing detail: A series of thin grooves cut into the plywood enables the wood to turn a 90-degree corner.

another beautiful small wheel bike.

Army folding mountain bike. i bet it cost $40k each and they just dump after small practice mission. wasteful.

cool nike ad a bit like yamakashi. Yamakashi started all this crazy city movement at least for me and 007 and many other followed but I could be totally wrong. Jump!

Mominoki House
Jingumae 2-chome / Japanese/health food
Jingumae 2-18-5, YOU Bldg. 1F. Open 11am to 10:30pm (LO). Closed Sundays.

i want to go there and eat Assorted Selection of seasonal veggies and drink Coarse Green and Sannen Bancha tea.

May be Sapper's folding bike got me going but I love this kind of small wheel bike. Muji has one too. Ultimate one is Alex Moulton. I still do not see how the small tire one can have world record in term of speed but Alex did with his one time or so I remember.

Some architecture firm designed and foresee 2030 city plan. I love people see so much in the future like this. I just hope it does not get like Blade Runner dark.
