1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Wagon

I knew Corvair family had a coupe, van and truck but never knew about this station wagon.  Truck or Greenbrier van made little sense by having rear engined rear drive powertrain in term of space usage but this one is even more puzzling.  Why a station wagon has a shallower back storage and mediocre front trunk with a spare tire sitting in the prime storage location?  The original Corvair was killed by Ralph Nader's book but this 2 years only ('61~'62) station wagon was killed long before, perhaps due to this weird storage usage.  With 2.4l flat six at the back.  Having said that, I do like the exterior look with the intricate roof rack and white shiftknob.  Whitewall tires go so well on this era of cars.  For sale on BaT.
