The whale watching boat can get very close to the whale than Californian do. We saw half dozen and I think the young one followed just to show this toward the end. 3.5 hours tour included a trip to Puffin island too and we saw hunter catching it since 1st of July was the opening day for the hunt. They raise chics in pair so catching one parent would and could jeopardize their growth.
