Animaris Suspendisse, the Dream Machines of Theo Jansen

Part of the magnificent strandbeest exihibit at SF Exploratorium.  The fin on the top charges air in the PET bottles during night.  It has air actuated kicking legs and sensors to detect water or soft sand for it to turn it around.  Peculiar beaut.
