The steel railing and roller is pretty robust so if you feel the door is not sliding as used to be, check to see if the door is dragging on the ground. Mine was. If you need to adjust door hanging height, you need one 7/8" and 3/8" open wrenches.
Here are the steps:
- Find the side of the door which is dragging. It is easy to see the drag marks on the ground.
- Loosen the nut below the roller, above the bracket with 7/8" wrench.
- Lift the door vertically and shim or wedge something below it to desired height.
- The bolt should be loose by now but if not, wiggle it with 3/8" wrench on the bolt thread. There should be a flat spot on the bolt.
- Stick your finger below the bracket but above the door to reach 7/8" nut inside the bracket and tighten it.
- Once the bottom nut is fairly tight, take out the shim and tighten the top 7/8" nut while holding the bolt from rotating with 3/8" wrench on the thread flat portion.
- Make sure the flat spot on the thread of the bolt is parallel to the railing.
- Done
